  • Sorry but the dude said Spade was the "KING" of western swing, pure bullshit, Bob Wills was and still is the "KING" of western swing, check history.......Spade was good but couldn't come close to ole Bob Wills.......Wills like to drink but he never hurt a woman in his life....Spade killed his wife.

  • Great memories here. But one error: Earl Muntz did NOT sell 8-tracks. His 4-track tape cartridge system pre-dated the 8-track by several years.

  • My parents still listen to Welk, I still listen to Cooley.

  • What Joe Pyne did in LA, a guy by the name of Alan Burke did in NY at the same time in the 60's. I always wonder why he never gets mentioned. I know all his shows were destroyed.
