It has become acceptable in American society for the police to be crooked. Most people think that it will never effect them. Until it does.

So they killed a group of kids for no reason and they still didn't get charged with murder?!?!? Must be nice being a cop. Out of all the police misconduct/ brutality/ corruption I've heard about I have never seen any of the cops be held accountable for their actions. They can basically do whatever they want to with no real repercussions.

Beef up organized crime investigations as well as Professional Standards Branch appointment. Make standards a HARD FACT in the lives of the Police. Gone are the days of the random drug test and the occasional test of accountability to those who know they are being watched. The screenings must be done in the area of ongoing professional development. Several of the individuals who do these things have a parallel power structure already in place.

@AnneFox7 WHEN COMING UPON A SICK ORGANIZATION. The best option is to conduct a shake down. NOT A SUPERFICIAL ONE SUCH AS THE use of additional officers in homicide. The shakedown has to cover all of the newly promoted positions and competency tests a[plied in all of those over the last ten years of bad policing. Those promoted  well outside their competence must prove themselves in their present positions of be moved to the place where they are most effective.

In Edmonton Police corruption was to be probed. The Chief of Police Mike Boyd Requested the services of the RCMP to probe the problems with Edmonton Police Services. The probe has not been done. The main problem with the extreme corruption in Edmonton and through-out Alberta is the ongoing use of ROTATION. The use of rotations and the refusal of the HUMAN RESOURCES PROGAM change has been the issue. STAFF SARGEANTS /HUMAN RESOURCES Deputy Chief Norm Lipinskys or Chief Carols corruption rewards.

Police corruption in Edmonton Alberta includes this pattern of attack. In many cases the offenders at the Police Services are gang members as are the several prostitutes they have placed in the services. Crisis Unit Hookers are involved in perjury abuse of children and trying to turn out youth into prostitution. The Police 'wives are often placed within the services: Wendy Morgan/ Karen Kerr/ Matt Linzer/ Roberta Allen... These prostitutes are involved in making false allegations.
