Four Days in November - Part 2 of 12 parts

This is part 2 of a 12 part program about the death and burial of President Kennedy in November of 1963. This section starts with Walter Cronkite reporting on the shooting, and then the footage has Dan Rather doing narration. There are scenes at Parkland Memorial Hospital where President John F. Kennedy was taken with his wife First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy by his side. Governor John B. Connally is also mentioned as being shot with President Kennedy. Mentioned also in this section is Sarah T. Hughes, who administered the oath of office to President Lyndon Baines Johnson. Charles Collingwood also speaks in this section, as in the original footage he takes over about 10 minutes after Walter Cronkite announced the death of the President. There are scenes of the Texas School Book Depository also, as well as Lee Harvey Oswald being escorted into the Dallas City Police Department. Harry Reasoner is also in this part. Dr. Robert Shaw (Governor Connally's Surgeon)is also seen speaking at a press conference describing the wounds of Governor John Connally, and surmising what direction they came from. Love Field Airport in Dallas, Texas is also seen, and at the end of the clip Andrews Air Force base in Bethesda, Maryland is in view as Air Force One lands carrying President Kennedy's body from Dallas. In the last part of the section Dave Powers, Larry O Brien, Robert Kennedy, Jacqueline Kennedy,Kenny O Donnell Mary Barelli, Evelyn Lincoln, William Greer, Roy Kellerman and Godfrey McHugh are seen around the Navy ambulance.

At 1:15 Dan Rather says that JFK was shot in the base of the throat and came out the back?????

He says he was told this. But this would suggest that a shot from the front right!
