  • 2001 Richmond race - Harvick was "Schooled" by Ricky Rudd!!!

  • Good tribute for Ricky's 900th race. Too bad the result of that race caused him to miss five weeks. :(

  • Good ole days...Rudd will always be my favorite driver of all time! Miss you Rooster

  • Undoubtedly...Rudd and Martin the 2 best drivers EVER to not win a championship!

  • If he would have ran the full season in 2006 and not crashed at the 2007 Chevy Rock and Roll 400 at Richmond, Ricky would have 860 consecutive Cup starts.

  • They don't make 'em that tough anymore. I remember watching the 1998 Martinsville race at home, just in awe of him running 500 laps on that track in 95-degree heat with all his suit and helmet cooling gear broken.

  • My favorite all time driver.

  • Ricky Rudd ftw

  • Three shortest tempered drivers in Nascar - Ricky Rudd, Dale Sr., and Jimmy Spenser.

  • @sneezabonk except for the 1991 race in Infineon... that's right up there with what NASCAR did to Regan Smith.

  • hey, unless you have a time machine, there's no damn way you'll get older racers back. That said, although I've only followed nascar more recently, gotta love the old dudes like Mark Martin, Ricky Rudd, Rusty Wallace, Dale Jarrett, Terry Labonte, etc.

  • He got away with every thing even some of the officials were afraid to go near him!

  • Ironic that he was injured in this race and missed three or four races after this.

  • Only thing that ticked me off: the aftermath of the stuff between himself and Gordon. That was an awesome crash right there!

  • No joke, I had a premonition of a crash like this happening in the week leading up to the race. I forget the name of the Nationwide Series driver, Keselowski perhaps? But he had a terrifying crash in the 88 car on Saturday. Then Ricky had a similar impact the next day. It's truly scary.

  • kind of scary that he wound up dislocating his shoulder in a crash in this race

  • I met him in Steak & Shake once back in 02'. He sat in the table next to us and i was so nervus that i could barely say hi to him. WHAT A GREAT GUY, WE'LL MISS YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • There will never be another RICKY RUDD...!

All us RUDD-BUDDS will miss him 4ever...!

  • Wow. What an awaesome video! NASCAR won't be the same without the Rooster!

  • Kinda reminds me of the Rowdy Burns character in Days of Thunder
