Surrender (Cover by skraMnoR)

You can see that I used two different cameras during the making of this video. The main camera was my Kodak Zi8. The shot from behind the drums and the shot of the red Les Paul were shot with a Sony HDR-FX7. The footage that came off the Zi8 (h.264 mp4) looked better than the MPEG2 files off the Sony. However, the MPEG2 files made it though editing and re-compression FAR better.

Anyway...I had tons of fun playing in my little bedroom studio! :) Enjoy!

great video man..... i talked to you before and i never got to ask you about the drum mics i have spent hours to get a sound like that wat did you use.... over heads or direct tom mics or what? any info is great thanks..

@MAshire3 I'm glad you like the sound. I use 4 mics on the drums. A Shure SM57 off the snare, an AKG D112 for the kick and a pair of Rode NT5 mics for overheads.

I've seen and appreciated all you covers, but how the hell are you getting you playing next to yourself? Taking it to the next level I see, very cool!

@xxcodyxx1 I record 2 takes of each camera angle. I play one instrument in each take. Then I layer the videos on top of eachother in my Video Editing Software. I then mask or erase a section of the top layer of video and the bottom layer shows through. It takes some planning and some extra work but its fun! Glad you like my covers! Thanks!
