T.P. must be a great guy, but he hates the Negro woman. It probably means that he sees himself in her and hates that image, so he plays out that love/hate with these funny/crazy, ambitious/pathological, nurturing/psychotic sorts of women.

Yup. Thanks so much.

Very deep, loved it. You're discussing things that are like elephants in the middle of the room but yet we are sooooo conditioned to not see them. Great video.

I thought I was the only one who thought that. The characters that are crazy, or cheating on their spouses are usually women.

Plenty of Tyler Perry's flics are women hating!

i thought the leader of the 7 times champ was a light skinned brah?... i did notice the color theme. i'm told if you want to depict beauty, film at sunrise or sunset. the director did that, maybe a bit too much. beautiful work though, but i, paradoxically, kept thinking it was artificial beauty... was nice seeing young, educated, beautiful black characters on camera though.

Loads of natural beauties just beneath the surface of the film. I enjoy it and have watched it once every few months.

Tons of movies are like this. And it's not that we don;t enjoy these films. But, I try to imagine what different kinds of films would look like. It seems like everyone is towing this load.
