During the Fall 2010 Quarter, visiting artist Trimpin installed one of his ingeniously low-tech sculptures in the lobby of Cummings Hall. Trimpin's "Sextet for Laptop Percussion" uses six of the artist's clunky, defunct Apple laptops, outfitted with wooden drum sticks, in a pay-to-play installation that uses electronics to control the analog sounds of drum sticks physically hitting the laptop keyboards.
