@wallner67 you need shots on goal, and games. shots on goal eventually lead to goals. but you cant get any shots on goal without being in a game. he had more shots than crosby but they play different. ovechkin shoots from anywhere and will put a strong or weak shot on net while crosby picks his moment carefully. we could sit here for years arguing that ovechkin might have or might not have scored in those 10 games but no one will ever know. point is you need both shots and games to score.

@Take1Them1Out no, you can't score when you're not playing. but how do games have more effect than shots? based on what you're saying, i could play 82 games and take 0 shots, but I'd be more likely to score than you if you only played 10 games and had 25 shots. definitely not.

@wallner67 all im trying to say is that games matter for goal scorers. you cant score goals if your not playing games, am i wrong there? yeah, he did have a shitload of shots on net, but if hes not on the ice, he wont score. im pretty sure he could have netted 1 goal to tie for the richard in the 10 games he missed, but then again he doesnt need to prove himself since he just won it 2 years in a row

@Take1Them1Out are you completely fucking retarded? did you even read my comment? how the fuck does missing 10 games matter if he still took 70 more fucking shots than Crosby? and like I said, just because he missed 10 games doesn't necessarily mean he scores in all of them like you seem to assume. would he have won the Richard? probably, cause he would've had at least 60 shots in those ten games and he's bound to pot a few out of sixty. but that doesn't really say shit about talent level
