I at least understand where you are coming from. Would you agree to not pursue legal action if Shawn decides to either donate to Sickkids hospital, either the entire sum submitted to him or in the form of volunteer work?

@sonic8005 He's in grad school and speaks multiple languages and comes across as very intelligent in how he speaks, even when it's off the cuff. The people who put out all the creationist and evangelical Christianity material are dishonest and manipulative and know how to keep the blinders on people.

@christo930 Venom isn't very intelligent honestly. Granted he has a number of supporters but I havent' seen any videos from those who donated and were upset with where the money went, just heard a Youtuber state that he got messages from some who had.

Venom isn't just a victim of Kent's dishonesty. Venom is also a victim of his own dishonesty. Kent got arrested for tax evasion, Venom just shared a similar mentality right down to that detail unfortunately.

@sonic8005 I was following this at the time and I don't remember anyone donating to him and being upset about it. Every video I watched about this was a video from someone who hated him already and hadn't given him any money. I also don't know how legally binding a youtube video is in a Canadian court with foreign complainants. Also, TBH, I see him as a victim of Hovind and other dishonest people. He has the unfortunate combination of being highly intelligent while being highly gullible.

@christo930 True. Unfortunately none of those people got their money back and seem to have gotten over it. Problem is... yeah, he deserves to be in prison after that. He demands the respect of an adult yet would demand to be treated like a child who is ignorant about the law.

Oh and his ignorance of the law doesn't count as him being stupid. Also even if it was perfectly legal to do what he did, IF, it was... it would still be malicious of him to do.

He blocked me because he doesn't like it when people mention his charity fraud. He claims that he blocks atheists for "swearing" but the fact is he does block for a lot less than swearing...

@christo930 There were complaints. Venom had to lie about that. He had to send them messages in which he was asking them to copy a message, stating that they gave Shawn the money to use as he intended without any charity mentionings.

From what I heard there was a good number of complaints from people who were upset that the money only went straight to Venom's pockets. Not sure how big a number that is though.

@wtfnord Because I wasn't subbed to DPRjones and the last I heard of it was when hilton's letter was read and I thought that was the end of it. He didn't say he wasn't going through with it. The funny thing is, NOBODY who donated to him (to my knowledge) had ANY complaints. Do you realize what it took for that kid to make that video? How many people have the character to do that? YES, he was a putz back when, but he was a young kid with no friends isolated by Kent Hovinds fundamental beliefs.
