It took us a LONG time to recover this piece of footage. I was completely bummed at CES 2009 when I discovered that our Sony camera had eaten the footage of this interview. -- We'll we've more than half-a-year to recover as much of it as possible and though I'm still miffed by sections that were unrecoverable, at least I can now post what was one of the more memorable experiences of our CES 2009 experience.

OK. Was this a hard drive camera then? or what do you mean "eaten up"?

As in "the tape was perfectly fine, but the recording for JUST THOSE 15 minutes of video were garbled beyond recognition." It didn't even have a proper time stamp. It was as if an electromagnetic storm exploded in the camera and selectively killed the interview.
