Vela came on at half time following a dismal display in the first half where WBA went 3-0 down. Vela helped West Brom get control of the game and they fully dictated the second half, failing to score however.

Vela continued to show brilliant positioning and movement, while his influence grew throughout the game. Unfortunately in the final third he still didn't seem at his sharpest.
