This is NOT a Metra! Stand back! Fast Amtrak train in Downers Grove,IL

An Amtrak speeds east to Chicago through Downers Grove,IL.
A ton of people were coming out of the station and walking past the yellow line to see if it was their Metra train.

Thats for sure. My dad and I knew it was the Amtrak and were telling people who were walking up past the yellow line to get back. Im surprised the engineer didnt give a couple toots at least.

The original CaliforniaZeyphyr that used to come through Downers Grove many years ago on the old Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy (now Burlington Northern Santa Fe line) went well over 100MPH

They really barrel past. When I took the train out to Osceola, IA (the California Zephyr), back in October, it's amazing that you can get from Chicago Union Station to Naperville, IL in about 25 minutes.
