I bet you never saw this coming...
While i'm totally NOT into Power Rangers, I couldn't pass this toy up since Bandai Japan never plopped this thing in a box labelled "未来戦隊タイムレンジャー Vブイコマンダー". Instead, Japan was treated to a remote control shaped like this for their V-Rex Robo [aswell as the US]. Also factor in the $6 price tag [KB Toys circa 2003] and this was an EASY sell.
I can't say much about the toy other than it's quite basic, but cool to look at. The three painted on buttons are kinda weak, but the detail on the others is pretty good.
To go along with the basic looks are some basic electronics. The beeps are 80s style [Jiban Badge comes to mind] and kinda familiar [the Timefire button sounds ALOT like the Gripphone sound...].
In the end, we have to keep this in mind...sure Bandai was out to make a quick buck [since not even the die hardest kid on the block would get a V Rex Robo; but they could've easy NOT released this toy. Sometimes you pay a bit more for style, convenience and Customs.
Anyway, that concludes my first and probably last Power Rangers Morpher review. Stay tuned as I promise that my next video really will be of the Gripphone.
