I approached Richie in 2001 at NAMM to tell him that his drumming on Robert Plants Shaken n stirred is some of my favorite drumming ever and he was really nice and appreciative! The next night I was playing out in Hollywood and while back stage waiting to go on I was hearing the first band and thought wow the drummer sounds great, then I did my gig and afterward I got a pat on the back and it was Richie telling me he liked my drumming, he told me I reeked of NYC and we had a laugh, great guy!
