    You can't really blame these people for being so bad. The people you must blame are their family and friends that encouraged them to audition.

    If your friends are all telling you that you are an amazing singer, and that you should try out for American Idol, you will definitely get your ass over there and try out.

    Good friends and family will tell you the honest truth, and avoid you from being humiliated and embarrassed.
