Why does everybody call Sulpitius a knight? He isn't, he's a tramp. And in fact an allegory of Christ in my opinion. In Medieval Europe, it was a common legend that Christ walked the roads in the guise of a poor man (or a leper). And this guy is so kind and wise and loving, and sacrifices his life for the little mermaid whom no one else cares about , no one at all sees her worth or.her pain but him.So yes... I think it's a camouflaged Christ... An intelligent rebellion against communist atheism.
