Honesty in this nation is near impossible now. The whole basis of our system is a lie and is accepted. It's whats called background assumptions. Hoards of flaws never questioned. Then we put band aids on the flaws. Scary to watch.

The whole free market idea is pretty insane. It must be regulated. The problem is the regulations usually favor the corporations. So what is law should pretty much be illegal. Think about the idea of the modern corporation, an entity that has rights of human beings but doesn't really exist. It can't be put in jail, just fined, even if murder is crime. We're fucking nuts, lol.

Margaret Thatchers experiment with free markets in the 70's created a monster that they are still trying to get a hold of. It affected markets world wide and even affected our stock market.

The new deal was very important. In fact, it's what the "people" wanted at the time. They fought and died in many labor battles for it. The government originally did not want it. Sound familiar? It's unfortunately been eroded, but we need to get back to those ideals and continue to further them.

Paul is a believer in Austrian free market economics. I used google to find out what that was but it was way over my head. Corporations are too good at finding loopholes in the regulations they do have to trust them with no regulation.

glad we agree on the free market scam

some sort of stewardess for the rapture.
The next person that seriously uses the phrase
end of days in my presence, may experience an end
to their days.
But I do see your point.Just not how to do it.

Unfortunately - a lot of it comes down to how honest we're willing to be as a nation. The more truth we're willing to handle now, the better for us in the long run. I don't see a lot of progress in this direction, however. I see a lot of people clinging to outmoded conceptions of this nation and our purpose.

Loved the natural lighting in this vid. Felt like I was sitting outside having a cup of coffee listening to you. I wonder what folks on both sides will think/say when they realize this....

That's the big question, isn't it? I have to confess I don't have a clue - which honestly scares the shit out of me.

I always enjoy your vids Zack. I always enjoy the wit you inject and your delivery.
My father lives off his retirement now, and a lot of that was tied up in certain stocks and things. He was a union electrician for 35 years. He lives comfortably, but he is by no means well off and I am trying to convince him to keep some additional cash on hand due to the impending storm.
We are all in this together brother. We need to cast off the chains (religion, party) that divide us and unite.

Yeah, I've shaken off as much of that funk I got into at the RNC as I think I'm going to, but I do feel like I've got enough equilibrium back that I'm myself again.
And I'm with you on the chains - there are unconventional thinkers in both parties (Paul, Kucinich, Feingold) and outside the parties (McKinney, Nader, Barr). I just want people to be for something.
Except anarchists, I suppose. Though I'd argue you have no chance @ anarchy without breaking the 2 party system 1st.
