As part of an final project for ELG3336 at the University of Ottawa, this video shows some aspects of the development of a two-channel proximity sensor. Ultrasonic sensors produce a varying DC voltage that in turn controls the voltage of two transistor amplifiers. These amps cause variation in a stereo source (in this case a simple 250hz tone) providing rudimentary relative bearing. With far higher resolution and it is theorized that a "picture" could be painted in the audio realm.
