To those people above; is easy to tell they haven't read The Severed Alliance, by Johnny Rogan which is the bible of all things Smiths and Moz, in it is detailed how Marr was actually the leader of The Smiths, and without him the band unevitably disbanded.

This song is timeless. But I can't imagine Morrissey singing it at 78.

@opprime1 yeah, i love morrissey, but, when he sings smiths songs they do lack marr (and rourke he is brilliant too)

Mozza is class

does he play alot of smith songs at his live shows?

I agree with you. But sadly for most of us, Morrissey has no taste in guitar players and therefore has been stuck for years and years with mediocre ones.
Speaking from the heart, I don't want Marr. I just want more adequate playing. Hell, it doesn't even have to be guitar playing: I loved the arrangements in Kill Uncle.

the guitar player is really shite morrissey deserves better
i dont see how he is a traitor to marr. but this is complete shit. its impossible to do this without marr.

Jesus Christ people!! I like Johnny Marr too!! He's amazing no doubting it, but i'm starting to hate him. Because every time I watch a Morrissey video "well Johnny Marr wouldn't have played it like that" or "Wow the new guitar player doesn't sound like Johnny Marr." It's not like these guys playing are horrible or something. This isn't this The Smiths it's Morrissey!! If you want to hear JOhnny Marr play the song then listen to "Rank" or something. If not quit complaining.
