  • this is true but at the same time those little letters next to your name help you find a job as as a personal trainer.

  • A question from a stay at home mother looking to get certified.

If a newly certified person needs a job, they typically need a cert that will be recognized in their state or the gym they hope to get employment. I have no tribe because I have not begun my career - I'm simply a person who enjoys training, teaching & needs a job!

My problem is I'm in one state but plan to relocate to another, so the question is - which cert if "universal" for landing a position?

  • NSCA and CSCS are the BEST!!!!!

  • @deeznutz713 U kidding? That dude is stacked! He looks like 250. lmao

  • @tkmaz NACSM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) tends to be the most widely accepted cert.

  • It's too bad that only hardcore strength types see these videos, because so many of the basic lessons/philosophies that Elliot teaches apply to everything in life and almost everyone would do well to listen.

  • so whats the best way to b a personal trainer really?? cause you can get them online in a matter of months or go to school which i askd n they said for me to major in exercise science. what do u all think???

  • holy moly! Elliot used to be a monster! ... i wonder why he decided to let his muscles shrink, now he's just a lean dude??

  • thank you so much for this video!

  • As far as i know most trainer i ask about certs say that NASM , ISSA , and NESTA is the best .

  • can you just tell us the truth with out bull shitting for four minutes..

  • @tkmaz I'm currently in the process of getting my certification. Before I bought the certification program though, I went to several gyms, (Gold's gym, Snap fitness, Devildog) and they all agreed that ACE fitness certs. are top of the line without getting a college degree in personal training. You need to go to all the gyms in your area and speak with their head trainer and see what kind of certifications they require; because as far as I know, there's no "universal" degree. I hope I helped.
