Tour of the perimeter of the old London Asylum for the Insane which still remains on the grounds of the active Regional Mental Health Care, also known as The London Psychiatric Hospital. This was the examination building, and is the only building left remaining. The main building was demolished in 1975. When it first opened in 1870, patients were transferred here from the older asylums in Orillia and Malden which had then closed. It had changed names to Ontario Hospital for the Mentally Ill in 1932, then renamed again in 1968 to The London Psychiatric Hospital (LPH).
