@kempy5000 Yeah I've seen all the slient drill teams who are choreographed over months, if not years. The King's Squad, Royal Marines, perhaps put it together within 4 or 5 weeks while still carrying out their commando and infantry pass out tests. So take a break Kempy.

@only1ineed nice comment :D nice to see U.S people act more like family rather than having some american crying because he thinks the USMC are the best :P

I was stationed at 8th And I for 2 1/2 years. And ,well , if you were not a Drill Team you certainly should have been one. That display would have been a great start. Good job !

just a couple of questions.. because i'm ignorant..... are women allowed to join the royal marines, and is the usmc that similar to the royal marines? i've heard the u.s special forces + navy seals are all at least loosely based on the british sas.

No women in the marines but there is ways they can become attached by either doing the all arms or becoming navy medics or engineers in the army, usmc trace there origins back to the battle of bunker hill which was won by royal marines and they are similar but somethings are different.
Delta force are like sas and navy seals are like sbs

im a bit confused, im part of the ACF so i obviously do army type drill. I noticed that during turns and halts etc that the marines do not bring their leg up 90 degrees. Is this variation from the navy, or from the RMC themselves? thanks.

Ill answer your question for you,the reason we dont stamp our feet by bringing our feet up 90 degrees is because that in the old days of wooden ships,if you were on deck stamping your feet, the sailors who were resting would be woken up by the noise.
Because even sailors need sleep ;)
