  • hey TehBANN3D , 2 wolves and a sheep deciding whats for dinner is a democracy. in a republic, the sheep has a gun.

  • I did not say that slavery was not an issue. I said that it was not THE issue.

Try telling any American who descended from the slave trade that their ancestors were freed from the shackles of their owners only to be discreetly reclassified, "tagged" if you will, a servant of the state known thereafter as U.S. Citizen.

History is written by the victors.

Give descendants of slavery truth. That their UNalienable rights were never acknowledged. See then how they react.

  • I choose myself as my personal government official.

  • This already is a voluntary system, you opt in when you bond in threw your birth certificate and accept the benefits and privileges of citizenship. The only way to opt out is to form your own government, but you have be able to perform sovereign functions and meet all ends of government.

You can't go to war with your oppressor and you can't sit around and expect the king to build your kingdom for you.

  • Awesome. Your anti government, anti Christianity.

Congratulations on being an idealist anti chris piece of shit. I'm sure your parents are proud.

  • Existing gov will not recognize it u have the taiwan problem with china, it is like u are paying rent twice to 2 governments - taxes to the first & time to the second. It seems more a play to get u to be more of a slave. Like calling rent to the state 'taxes' because u believe u 'own' something it makes u a more productive slave for them. U don't own anything u rent from the state, don't pay u'r rent (taxes) & see how long u keep it. I'll wait for destruction-ism instead & take my chances

Agreed. Another key reason VG's are not ideal is because they would take away focus from certain specializations in the marketplace. A business that focuses on providing 1000 services instead of 5 , is in many cases going to become cumbersome and less efficient. VG's would likely suffer this same problem. A totally free society can develop perfectly well without governments or "VGs" but "VGs" might be a good concept to introduce to people who can't quite grasp that..

  • VG? ??

how bout something more creative like ACF. (autonomous civilian federation)

Lemme know if there's any way i could help get one started.

  • my mistake, I meant a constitutional republic. Not platos' i stand by my definition of democracy[mob rule, majority whatever]

  • No. A republic is merely a representative form of government. There is no guarantee that citizens will be allowed to remain armed in a republic.

And you didn't actually respond to my post.

  • Yeah I don't see this as a great solution. Maybe there will be more in part 2, but it seems like the only thing that could possibly drive such an organization is some outdated collectivist mechanism. Why would we want to form a democracy in the first place? Same with a republic. Why would we want to trade a few hundred tyrants in Washington for a handful here in NH? I can easily avoid the Washington thugs. It's harder to avoid the State thugs and would be even harder with this new system.
