This is a run of my ¨TPTracer¨ GPU-Based Ray Tracer. It´s publically available and tested on Linux. It can be found in the trunk SVN on the cppgpgpu sourceforge project. It was run on a GeForce 9800 GT on Linux, at a 480x360 resolution and varied in framerate between as low as 15 and as high as 40 FPS depending on what I was looking at, this scene has over 9,000 balls, three lights and up to 3 2ndary reflections.

It was written entirely in OpenGL + GLSL, While this runs on a GeForce card, I plan to run this on an ATI some time; I currently do not have access to any.

  • Yes, you could. But, I'm actually working on a much more general system now. I guess I'll post it sometime soon... This won't let me post screenshots, but you can google for: minecraft gpu raytracer I'm the WIP link.

I'm raytracing Minecraft stuff. Full screen, 1080p, pretty good GPU at 40 FPS.

  • That's a subscriber... MIT is GPL compatible, isn't it? So I can use your project in mine :D

  • But they are inert!
