Retha has sang at the funeral of so many gospel queens including Mahalia, Clara, Mattie Moss and now Albertina. She has such a strong allegiance to her gospel roots which is a beautiful thing.

Don't forget she sung at Luther Vandross's funeral too and if you look it up you will see church didn't get started until she sang Amazing Grace. Aretha has never lost her love for the gospel no matter where her great talent took her in secular music.

thank god for these fantastic women ministering in song through gospel even through the civil rights movement they were and still are living testimonies be blessed and r.i.p. mother walker and we thank god for still having miss aretha franklyn the dream lives.
