Excellent, thanks! Could not figure this out and had no idea what type of clasp to even search for. Glad I came across this video. My next step was to use duct tape :-P

Thanks for explaining. I got a new clasp and I couldn't figure out how to open the pin end as it was so stiff. I used a rounded plastic button instead of a coin to avoid causing scratch marks (yes i am a bit OCD about scratches).
