@sonicsn4ke There is a great Northern Ocean, and Hellas Planitia in the south is filled, that's about it, the rest is highlands. Or have you never seen an altitude map of Mars?

Mars also has quite big amount of  water, which is its BIGGEST advantage over Venus, which doesn't have watter at all. So we have to import to Venus and possibly Mars HUGE amounts water from asteroid's belt. Venus also has a very slow rotation, so day/night on Venus lasts 243 Earth's days. Both planets almost don't have magnetic fields, so radiation level will be higher than on Earth. Anyway, terraforfing of either planet is TREMENDOUS task, but for Mars it looks little bit easier.
