marriage came out of a cultural impetus to organise families for child rearing... it is purely a functional and "logistical" tool of statescraft... an essential one at that...
It has nothing to do with "celebrating" or "rights"... The argument for "equality" has been simply so deformed its hard to understand the animus behind it... get over yourselves already for fucks sake... there are vastly more important things for us to put time, ressources and energy on..

Men to men and women to women is not a marriage it's not even a union, it's a friendship of a sexual nature. Call it what you want but in essence it is not marriage therefore you will forever roam the world feeling incomplete, you can go through sexual friends like clothing but you can not spirituality become one and whole with them it is the same curse upon pedophiles and zoophilias.

Never thought that love needs some sort of legal basis. Marriage isn't about love per se, it's about family. And family is, first and foremost, about children.
Some kind of contracts, or unions, or some such - yes. Marriage - no, never.

@KhanFus1on What about the couples that are married and can't have children or don't plan on having children? And gay couples have families, the are fathers and mothers just like the rest of us.
