A Stir Plate can be built at home for a fraction of the cost of buying one pre-made. Why not do it yourself? We are brewing our own beer aren't we? We might as well make our own equipment too. I did this one without solder.

@coronet Thanks! A cigar box would work nicely, and thats free! As for magnets, if I were to do it again I'd look for a magnet from an old hard drive.
