The Adam and Eve story is there to see how retarded the Homo Sapience is..., this ape has been slated for termination..., Next!

@billflowers LOL.
It's funny...my atheist/agnostic friends understand better what a Noachide is than the born-again one does.
Then again, I'm still laughing at the idea that christian lads are using evolutionary tactics...now THERE is an oxymoron.
Have you pointed that out to them yet?

@billflowers On how much of the bible I "swallow"...
Wrong tack. I did my time questioning parts of it. Then applied the same questioning to the anti-bible science side.
And I get my understanding of the bible NOT from Christians.
Christians "superceding" the ones who originally had it don't know diddly-squat about it.
I'd rather seek an understanding of it from the original religion whose history and constitution it is.

@billflowers Theist is an old Greco-Roman word denoting a belief in their gods. And in THAT era, an atheist was someone who didn't believe in THOSE gods.
This won't be a question I can answer in one comment box.
Darwin powned the first chapters of the book? No. He only powned Greco-Roman pagan atitudes that infected the Roman church's doctrines and dogma. On the Jewish understanding of it, the only debate is over zeroes, never on sequencing.

@BallPythonsRule Sometimes there's a bit of a problem with the "free will" concept.
Moses and a whole heap of O.T. prophets never wanted their jobs but got stuck with them anyway. Like Jonah. He didn't want to prophesy to the people of Ninevah and headed the OPPOSITE direction.
On the other hand, the Jews don't get much of a choice, while the rest of us do. They consider their Torah a burden. But they're stuck with it and the only ones having to follow the full lot of it.

@BallPythonsRule By saying god can righteously do these things is putting a lot of faith in god. Anyone who is not in the church, would have to say that Hell isn't fair.
Interesting...then again, if God wanted ROBOTS, he'd have made them in the first place.
I tend to think the whole Plan by God revolves around experiential learning.
God's a bastard? Had some moments where I could have thought that myself. But I often see a tough early time come to provide some experience that helps me or others later. In which case later on it becomes something good. Experiential learning.

@geehall1 Got to ask you a question, Are you a theist? if so how much of the Bible do you swollow? concidering Darwin and many others have really powned the first few chapters of the book.

@billflowers Am I a theist? NOT in the Greco-Roman sense.
Remember the art show in Melbourne? Three friends from one old group. One an agnostic. One a born-again Christian. And me. In experience i side with the agnostic friend. Being burned by Christian friends is no fun. On the other hand, sometimes the born-again friend CAN talk on the subject of the bible...not always intelligently.
You really want to know exactly what it's like sitting in the middle BETWEEN born-agains and atheists?

@geehall1 Before I became an atheist I did for many years refer to myself as an educated agnostic. I do love a good oxymoron.
