L4D2 - Fun with HLDJ

This is just a compilation of some of my HLDJ clips used in context within the game. There are more you can use, but these are just some I chose at the moment. The key to using HLDJ in an amusing way is to make sure to find a funny context for your clips.

Did you set these up before you played them.. as in did you see that you were smoker.. go into console, type the number of the one you wanted to play.. then press your play key? Or is there a simpler way.. i know of course you can bind them to keys if you only have a few.. but i have got a shitload. Any simpler way?

@MinusG I just spawned as smoker and looked for MK - Getoverhere or whatever I have it named as. I usually try to name them in some way that I will easily find them. I punched the number in in console since I use hldj and then when I grabbed soemoen, pressed the play button.

whare do you get your sounds from?

@33dgtp Usually youtube. If I think something is relevant I will record and convert it for L4D2. There's a few ways you can record.

1.) Wave out recording on sound card (make sure to set it back to microphone before playing the game).

2.) a $5 or so audio cable going from sound out or a headphone jack to microphone in.

3.) use a youtube download site to turn the video into mp3 and crop it out yourself.

I typically use option 1. I save to audacity and convert with goldwave batch convert.

@azuboy98 that is not what i meant. i've played through the game and i didn't see the baseball bat or cricket bat.

The cricket bat just shows up in random spots, especially in dead center. The baseball bat usually shows up in the safe room on almost every campaign if you've got someone in the game who has preordered.
