One of the most beatiful songs of Um Kalthoum if not the BEST

@101beirut I agree; but there were others who wer not given the chance and the time she has got. Besides she had role modells to look at (e.g. Zakriya Ahmad, Saiyed Darwish, Fathiya Ahmad, and many more of that time; I simply can`t recall all name). I love also the voice of Laila Murad or Suad Mohamad; both had real voice; Asmahan of course... and many others). But no doubt UM KALTHOUM IS UM KALTHOUM; this song is one of her best in my view. A pride for Egypt and the whole Arab world.

By the origin I am from Iran, and used to live in south of Iran (Dezful and Andimeshk) which these two cities are close to boarder, I had many tapes of her song in my car and non stop listening to her songs, I fall in love to her voice, since I was 22 years old, right now I am 61 still have a huge collection of her songs, be lightfull her grave and her soul....
