Unemployment Insurance Breaking Down for Many Americans

Unemployment offices are receiving record numbers of applications and phone calls. One story the media isn't covering is the sheer horror many out of work Americans feel when they try and contact and apply for unemployment insurance benefits. Sometimes months may pass by before some families begin to receive benefits. Many are confused with the inability to get through to offices by phone, and the closing down of physical locations by the state. What are the number that give up on unemployment and simply apply for welfare and food stamps?

A desturbing trend in unemployment , collect for 99 weeks. After which a healthy percentage will apply for disability. Grounds primarily depression b/c not finding jobs . Another burden on tax payers. Proof again Obama policies don't work ! Or do they? Obama has a master plan to create the Matrix. Kill the spirit of of Americans Thin the herd of all who want to work, forced to live off Gov. Therefor creating a socialist Gov. We must rid ourselves of this mad man Obama!

Thanks for posting this video of how bad things are on the West coast as far as jobs are concerned. I have been out of work 1 1/2 years when the company I worked for left Oregon and went to a city wth a lower minimum wage. In Oregon in a month wages will go up another 20 cents and more companies will move to one of the 6 states that does not have to pay federal minimum wage. I hate what has happened to this state and the REAl unemployment rate here is 24% at least.

I just moved my business to Nevada from Ca last year expecting more Demorat BS with Jerry Brown and Boxer and the rest of the idiots with over taxation and regulation. I used to deal with 7 SEVEN gov. oversight agencies in CA...now...1 ONE ! in Nevada. I'm now in a complex with 9 other businesses....guess what...they are ALL from Ca !

I can't wait till CA raises taxes and eviro laws on my Ca. Competitors ! It's gonna be like Christmas with Dems in office

I live in Portland and there are no jobs here. The REAL unemployment rate here is 35-65% or more. If they would really tell you how bad it really is then people would really know about the jobs situation. They are trying to eliminate the population through this job elimination. The call centers are all gone here in Portland and the ones that are left will not hire me because I use a walker. Things are really really bad.They need to tell us how bad things really are. I hate what they have done.
