Dedicated to Sarah Palin, the fundamentalist woman who might have been a heartbeat away from being the most powerful person in the world. She really puts the "fun" in "duh" and "mental".

Good points. "Cherry picking" is putting it lightly. The "church" says the old testament is done away with, and in the same breath ask for 10%??...So, the Torah (old testament) only applies to the "church" when finances are involved? What a joke!...Sadly, this is just one of MANY examples. The "church" is no doubt morally corrupt and dangerous!

Nice vid. Now that I think about it... why do they refer to God as "Father" and not "Mother". Why so much emphasis on the paternal and not maternal roles?

Fundamentalism is a recent movement - early church fathers did not take Bible literally. They believed with writer of Timothy that all scripture is 'God breathed' not 'God dictated' as the fundies do. Therefore the writer is writing in a state of God awareness interpreting the impulse and heart of God in terms of their world view.
