Thanks for posting this...I've always loved the films of the old races...and I have the highest respect for the drivers who ran back then. They had so much more on the line than they do today.
Looking at the old films and photos, I always thought it looked like the track was banked higher in the old days...it must be an optical illusion because they didn't have stands going around the corners like they do now.

That last footage was from 1939. I think. A lot of footage was reused though.
