@MissLeanaFaith I mean being so en-wrapped in the love of Jesus that it becomes contagious to those around you, abiding in him and trusting him to reveal himself through us.One thing is for sure, telling Christians over and over again what they need to do will never motivate them, only discourage them. Keeping our eyes on Christ is key, and then we will see evangelism as a natural fruit of that wonderful relationship.

Fishermen do not pluck the fish out the water in order to save it. Shepherds do not care for sheep out of concern for its well-being. In both cases, the purpose is to exploit the animals for the the supposed carer's benefit. Jesus' symbolism is more apt than he may've realized.

One question: do you think if i thought your god were real, that i would even for a second consider disobeying, if he threatened to torture me forever and ever otherwise? Not worth a few decades of "pleasures to be dark" if you ask me...;)

@12tod interesting, your take on " our religion". i don't think you like to talk seriously or reasonably with Christians or you'd know that we don't see knowing & walking in the Light with Jesus & one another to be anything close to a religion...which implies discipline. "My yoke is easy & My burden light." Scripture says true religion is to visit the sick & lonely. to be born of a new Spirit of Love is Joy itself & it seems you've rejected that idea because you prefer your pleasures to be dark!

your heart must be involved. hell contains people who once preached the gospel. if we do any "good" from a spirit that isn't Love, Jesus said we are a clanging symbol! if they don't repent, He'll say "I never knew you!" remember how judas iscariot SEEMED to regard the poor? to follow Jesus truly seems to me might involve at least some fasting & watching unto prayer, & He told us we must be willing to carry our crosses. so i'm taking it to Him: that i want to want to be like Him...He'll help! (:D
