@realslimshady5000 i hate to say it...but Greenpeace doesn't do much they only take pictures and say stuff to the whalers... Sea shepherds on the other hand enforces the laws which should be upheld by australian, new-zealand, chile, and a bunch of other countries but they dont. Us navy doesn't really have any connections to this because the Japanese are not trespassing into US sea. Therefore your comment isn't really valid. You could say something about the ban on whaling but made in 1986 bt stl

@spcantwell your not getting this, WHAT IS THE POINT OF WHALING, yes its a food source, but not a nessisary one, I say people living in the artic should be aloud to whale, where else will they get their food? but japan, one of the most modern countries? and if you miss the kill shot, DO IT AGAIN, dosnt take a very smart person to figure that out,also they're not purposely hireing disacter victems which I was never agaised anyways, they actualy took MILIONS in disaster funds for whaling this year

how deep is the 'spinal cord' in a whale? what would it take to get a large enough round that deep? secondly large rounds would not pentrate much water.

yes 30 MINS. that is what happens when the 'farmer' misses the kill shot. nothing odd about it. again, talk to hunters, animals can live a long time with fatal wounds.

they are useing funds to hire disaster victims to do the work they are trained to do. whats wrong with that?

@spcantwell 1. scientific fact, once the spinal cored is severd from the brain its an instant death, snipers use this fact, and 30mins to kill a cow? I think he said 30 seconds because if not, the farmer you talked to was clearly retarded, even simply sliting the throte would take 5 min at the VERY most, and is that for all cows, no, and why do we even need to whale, the fact that they're using disaster releaf funds should be reason enough not to, and not that many people even eat whale any more

most of the videos show it happening faster then that.

you have 'proven' that the dolphins arnt killed fast enough? what 'proof' do you have? what possible reason do they have for killing slowly?

yes, INSTANTANEOUSLY. big differnce between an instant and 10 mins.

is whaling any more 'cruel' then being killed by killer whales? how long does that take?

I mean we have already proven that the Dolphins in the cove are not killed as fast as they are.

"Japan reported that the majority of whales, almost 60%, failed to die instantaneously in 2002/3"

Some whales have even taken up to an hour to die.

Whaling is cruel.. the facts prove it.

1. how do you know they 'feel no pain'? lets see your study on that. why would whalers prolong the death? they want to kill as fast as possible and move onto the next one. oh and as anyone who has ever worked on a farm will tell you, sometimes i can take 30 mins for a cow to die (if its done wrong). most whales are killed MUCH faster then 10 mins (which is still faster then any death they would get in the wild)

@spcantwell ok lets think for a second, 1. we could just kill domestic annimals like cow that can easily be killed in a split second feeling no pain, or we could kill whales and take 10 minutes to torcher them to death, 2. I'm not wanting to kill humans because they disagree with me retard, i want to kill them because they have no respect for life, 3. (corrected) grammer fail: "put(ing) a bullet throught the head of every" sea idiot, and pirate who boards someone else vessel :)
