Taller drivers will appreciate the improved ease of entry and exit. With 40 percent more glass than its predecessor, it offers a greater sense of spaciousness and enhanced peripheral vision.
BMW offers the all-new Z4 Roadster with a choice of two potent yet efficient inline six-cylinder engines. In the Z4 sDrive35i, the thrust of 300 twin-turbocharged horses and 300 lb-ft of torque push you firmly back in your seat. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard; the optional 7-speed Sport Automatic transmission with Double Clutch delivers lightning-quick shifts. Or opt for the thrilling 255-hp Z4 sDrive30i, with its strong 220 lb-ft of torque.
BMW's best-in-class chassis delivers precise handling and sheer roadster fun. A new standard feature, Driving Dynamics Control, activates three driving modes at the press of a button: NORMAL, SPORT and SPORT+. These tailor steering and throttle response to your driving style. The same button also modifies the optional Adaptive M Sport Suspension settings, providing the option of a firm, sporty ride, or one with an enhanced level of comfort.
The redesigned cabin, with its driver-oriented dash, invites exploration. Different materials accentuate the driver- and passenger-side dash. Personalize the interior with an array of high-quality upholsteries and interior trims. When you select the Exclusive Ivory White Leather Package, the specially bolstered sport seats are lavished in supple Ivory White Nappa Leather, and set off by handsome Anthracite Wood interior trim. Among the many desirable features of the new optional Navigation and iDrive system are a choice of maps, including 3-D and nighttime views; 8 GB of hard-disk space for your favorite music; and a high-resolution monitor that pops up from the dash.
The all-new Z4 Roadster offers ample storage capacity, with compartments located conveniently throughout the cabin. Behind the seats is a storage bench -- a unique feature in this class of vehicle. The Z4 is the only retractable-hardtop roadster with an optional through-loading system and integrated transport bag. The trunk can store two pairs of skis or a 46-inch golf bag with the roof down; roof up, it holds two 46-inch golf bags.
