I was gonna say, I have never sewn over pins before, and probably wont start...lol. With the combination of my luck and clumsiness I wouldn't stand a chance in not breaking needles! -Debra :)

Don't sew over pins, sure way to break your needle. And using a surger would be 100 times better..

An important step missed is to draw in your line on one leg and bast the new seam in (either by machine or hand) test the fit. this way you can compare the new fit to the old fit. Then using a C-through ruler chalk in your seam allowance (SA) after adding SA you then trim off the excess this way when you sew the seam for real you can use the SA as a stitch guide and wont get the wavy stitching you see in this video.
