You do realize that Lucifer/Satan was possessed of free will and chose his path, yes? He was created for something else entirely, but took pride in himself to the point of self-worship. Blaming God for that is like blaming you for your son rejecting your standards and starting a military coup, only more unfair since the very nature of God means you know He was in the right (if He wasn't, he isn't God).
Also give humanity some credit for its own failings.

It is a shame that the origin of Lucifer is never really explained in any version of the Bible. The fact is that Lucifer/Satan is a creation of God and was created with a deliberate purpose in mind--to deceive the frail minded human species. God only created us in his image, not His substance. We were created to make poor choices. That is what God intended. We are the perfect hosts for Satan. So, God created the underpinnings for evil to flourish in this world.
