@knightofjustic WTF? why at all the videos you have comments and you're saying the same thing to everybody? face it no one takes you seriously
-
@knightofjustic If you don't remember it, it's quite possible you're memories are fading, and that you're remembering things that weren't there.
-
@MasterBombadillo well i cant remember the line but i know it did come up that they all died out
-
@10fingerdeathpunch and the millions of pounds it makes and the attention
-
@knightofjustic Do you have a source for that? I think the line of Salazar Slytherin died out, but I haven't read anything about Parseltongue dying out, only that Harry couldn't speak it anymore after he was no longer a Horcrux.
Also, a prison doesn't need to be a simple cell. It could be a giant complex of pipes, or just a hidden castle or a complex of caves that are locked from the outside.
-
@MasterBombadillo well jk rowling said all the parselmouths except voldemort had died out. and due to a basilisk size it be hard to keep it lock in a cell
-
@knightofjustic That's based on the assumption that all Parselmouths are descended from Slitherine. However, it's very likely that there are more Parselmouth families because there are older known examples: Herpo the Foul, who was a Greek.
And a dark cult doesn't have the power to give food to a Basilisk by throwing men in it's prison? They banned to breed Basilisks, so they were "commonly" bred. So more Parselmouths is a possibility, or there can be cults around a basilisk.
-
@MasterBombadillo well all the paselmouths are dead to voldemort killed his uncle then he died and harry lost the ability. i would not say there would be an other one because it was considered weird that the one in the chamber was still alive it should have died of old age. and the snakes can kill you by looking you in the eye so i would not say there be cults around breeding them only a real parselmouth can stay alive
-
@knightofjustic Probably, that's a word indicating we can't be sure about it. It's possible there are some Basilisks left, but like the one in the Chamber, they're locked away. Possibly by another Parselmouth. It's also possible there are cults that breed or keep them. It's a wide world, and the author of an ancient book isn't always aware of everything. Not to mention the fact the story takes place in England, around Harry Potter to be precise.

@abihard I didn't take the Horcruxes away, only said they were inferior to the One Ring. Voldemort can keep them.
Yet it's another case for prophecies: as I said, they are no more than early conclusion of the course of things. If Voldemort was destined to fight Sauron, then the prophecy about Harry Potter wouldn't exist, just because the future is changed. As I already argued, a prophecy isn't a protection. The course of the future changes, and so does the prophecy. That's how it works.
