Poor Old Katy French - Ray Heffernan

This is my commentary on the recent financial issues in Ireland. I'm using the death of Irish model, Katy French, as an fitting and timely image of when the party turned sour.

I believe, for what it's worth, that Ireland and it's people are stronger than their governments and will pull through this, phoenix-like, and will be all the stronger for having done so.

As with most protest songs or social commentary, it is probably limited to a relatively short shelf-life, so I still haven't decided whether it will go on the new record. Consider it, therefore, as a musical aperitivo.
