Thanks for inviting us to contemplate, to grapple and to struggle with what is changing in our world. May we all be good world citizens, grow, and work together to understand what it feels like and to have these devestations happen to ones home.

The devastation is heart breaking. I get your point about not depending solely on the govt. for help, but for those who have lost everything a hand up should not be construed as a hand out in the aftermath of this kind of destruction. I pray that the areas affected will receive the same attention and monetary support that New Orleans has gotton in the aftermath of Katrina. I am sorry your efforts to help were met with inefficiency, but the need remains to help put lives back together.
