@seattle0002 LMAO. I cant stand idoits like who think they r experts on the subject these r professional powerlifters. U don't know shit about powerlifting or weightlifting for that matter. That's the whole point of powerlifting is to lift as much weight as possible. Thats why they arch their back like that to reduce their ROM. They are not bodybuilders so therfore they don't lift the same as bodybuilders.
-
no, it won't. your spine is more flexible than you know, and an arch will hold far more weight than a straight line. he doesn't have poor technique, he's actually perfect, he's just wobbling a little from holding 815 pounds. which you couldn't move. ever.
-
haha his arms are so short he lifted the bar like 3 inches total. that's totally lame - to have a world record you should at least have to lift the bar further than the length of a pencil.
-
100% agree. Can any of these morons even conceive what kind of ridiculous power it takes to even HOLD UP this kind of weight?
-
So many haters, i'd like to see anyone who's complaining lift anywhere near what he's doing..

Don't hate this mofo is a strong sob

previous comments say it all
Do you have any idea how powerful these guys are. I'm sure they can't lfit near as much with a flat back, but this isn't bad form, it's actually quite good form. They're taking advantage of their physiques to move as much weight as possible. Matter of fact, if you think you're so god damn good, I'd liek to see you bench a mere 500 only 6 inches with the biggest arch you can make. Can you do it? I thought not.

No kidding, I respect the fact that he could benchpress my car, but that is hardly what I would call a desirable physique.
