Here is an outtake from the video. It is a good brief overview of the four basic safety rules that we all should follow.

  • "Keep your finger off the trigger guard until you are ready to shoot." Don't you mean on? I keep my finger extended, rested on the trigger guard, and then put my finger in the trigger guard when I'm ready to shoot.

  • No, what I meant to say was keep your finger off the trigger. That's why this one is an outtake.

  • Can NEVER stress that to much. Guns have NEVER killed anybody, only hate and ignorance!!! A pure 5/5

  • One can never over stress the basic safety rules. At no time are they ever redundant.

  • Thanks for the video. Short but educating.

  • @bobbert890 You are violating the 1st rule of gun safety: "always treat a gun as if it were loaded." I don't know how many people are killed each years by friends with "unloaded" guns, but it is lot. Didn't you watch this clip?

  • reloading a gun is like having sex with a girl you grab its but and shove it in if doesnt fit make it

  • i need to learn tht

  • thanks ! 5/5

  • @MandM246 agreed, but even a toy gun that is reminicent of a real gun is illegal to carry in public because it can be used to intimidate someone as if it were a real weapon; which is why you don't walk around with a paintball gun. "Treat every gun as it it were loaded" still applies to firearms like items i.e. airsoft, crossbows, etc. even if they don't fire anything, because the person being aimed at might not know that and neither do the police across the street. Otherwise have fun with them:)

  • @bobbert890: I'm glad to see your interest in shooting sports and applaud your safety efforts. I'm concerned with the statement, "and i only point a gun at someone if the gun is unloaded...". The act of someone accidentally getting shot starts with a gun being pointed at them. If you find it necessary to point a gun at someone buy a toy gun. Never point a real gun at someone regardless of how "safe" it might be. It's just bad practice. Other than that, you're on the right track. Happy shooting!

  • i'm 15 i'm very responsible with firearms and i unload guns at the range before i head home when i get home the guns go in my closet with a trigger lock or an action lock and any remaining ammo i lock in a metal box most kids would keep the gun loaded and probably end up shooting themthemselves

but i've learned not to have a loaded gun at all and i only point a gun at someoene if the gun is unloaded and there is trigger guard so that the gun will never be accidently dischared and deadly

  • wearing eye and ear protection is quite impossible for a soldier or policeman, I think...
