Leaving my home was one of the big adventures of my life. I didn't realize then what I was leaving behind: family, friends and the most beautiful beaches in the world. Fort Pickens, the graveyard in Bagdad, Pond Creek, the azaleas in spring, fishing and crabbing and the water..... how I've missed those ice cold creeks in the heat of summer. My mother's home on Ward Basin that was destroyed by Ivan and is also now only a memory. But what good memories and a beautiful place I grew up in - Home is always in my dreams....

ms.centrum I'm grown...family from childhood scattered, or gone---I still pass through my little dusty hometown to visit other relatives..Oh...nostalgia is a bit unhealthy & corrosive..Just sometimes, I want to be 5 again..totally loved..Looking up at the stars
with my friends.But..you can't go Home, that Home... unless in a song.

I know how you feel - I left Milton when I was 22 and have only been home a few times, last was in 1996 when I buried my mother. It's time to return and I'm going home in a month..... so many places I must see when I'm there, all my dreams started there.....I too miss my home and my family.
