@ch1aka2 Yes, you're right. Thomas Jefferson hated the Religious Right more than either of us. If you haven't already, look up some of the wars he fought against them. He was famous for it. And he was damn clever about how he went about it.

But yeah, I don't exaggerate when I say that some of these people want a theocracy and concentration camps for everyone who isn't a deacon in their church (and some of them...)

But she just did the first sane thing so far: she just quit the race.

Religion Doesn't matter when we have a pragmatic approach in solving problems combined with theology.The day You and I recognize the theological fact that we both are Son of Adam , all the worries of this temporary world will diminish but for only those who believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ (May lords blessing be upon him ). @ch1aka2 Look I actually really was over the top. I don't actually think Bachman should be gangraped, no one should have that happen to them. I bet she isn't really a bad person. She has 30 kids. In my angry attempt at comedy, I was actually despicable, so I hope she would forgive if she read that.

@lionheart7861 I hope you're not offended by peoples' kneejerk reactions. These are scary times. And you have something to be hopeful for in Iowa, now, Paul is second behind the first place tie.

But the anger that religion and politics mixed is obviously very toxic, and not what is needed in politics, as you probably know well. I really don't think the people who say such things about your religion mean, maybe they do, but they don't represent us all.
