"They're Blowin' up the Champlain Bridge," LIVE! FROM BULWAGGA BAYMPG

This is the second LIVE! cut, with special "unabridged.....(heh, heh)" lyrics in the new introduction.With the interest in my song "They're Blowin' up the Champlain Bridge," we decided to "get the camera, the guitar, and Alice's mandolin", and head on down to Bulwagga where they really did blow up the bridge. Had a lot of the crowd singing along in anticipation of the "Splosion, which we heard, but could not see, due to the heavy snow. Had lots o fun and extra help from our friend Steve Collier as well. And that's Alice Knight on the ice cold mandolin.

Well I had a premonition There would be a demolition
So I wrote me a song and
It didn't take me very long..................

some beers from the fridge

Watch the bridge fall in the water
As they blow up the Champlain bridge

Yeah the state spent all our money on
stuff they shouldn't a spent it for
All the pilings are all rotten
Simple maintenance was forgotten
Ineptitude from shore to shore (for sure)

Tell me why can't they build stuff that doesn't break?
Oh I know why. IT'S VERMONT & IT'S ALSO NEW YORK STATE
Gee, lets not try to fix it
Should-a built it out a sticks, it
Soon will be at the bottom of the lake!

Thanks to the wonder of modern technology, I am watching this video in Senegal West Africa - looks like it was a bit cold there - you might want to change the "cooler and some beers" part to "fill a thermos with some coffee!" Great song Speedy! - and a great job on the mandolin Alice!
