Looks like an Oklahoma Brown, but then again maybe the Texas and the Oklahoma are the same species and have different nicknames for it.

@lckuf rubbish. it may have the venom of a bee sting but two large fangs are alot more painful than a bee sting. dont sound off like youve got a pair

dude, when i was little i saw one of those at night on my front porch ( i live in Texas). i thought it was someones pet that escaped becuase i didnt think taratulas lived in texas

você ja foi picado por uma?

@sixpackabby they are not that scary. and they wont bite. i used to have one of these, very beautiful. they may not look like it in this video, but they have a wonderful color. shiny bronze. reminds me of a new bronze coin straight from the bank. they are a sweetheart really.

@hunterabess I have one too...I found it outside and took it home with me...they apparently make really good pets...
-
@lckuf ...umm, actually their bite is MUCH more painful than a bee sting and can even sometimes cause minor tissue damage. Also tarantulas arent any more fragile than the other large species of spiders either.

I wish i could spot them in the wild, that whould be awesome!
Nice video!
What MTB trail was you on when you found that tarantula? Or what part of Texas if it was Texas? Thanks.
