Meaning


I look at the Lord of the auspicious Venkata giri. The one who rides on a mount that has no equal.

The supreme God worshipped by Indra. The one who is as splendrous as crores of suns. The protector of the cows. The one who has hordes of brahmanas worshipping him. The one who delights Shanmukha. The one who is the giver of moksha.

The one who has alamelu manga as his consort. The one who lies recumbent on a serpent with a lotus arising out of his navel. The one who is beyond boundaries.The one who is considered to be especially powerful in Kaliyuga. The one who is worshipped by the Lotus-born Brahma and others.

The one who is as blue and beautiful as the ocean. The one who has the friend of the lotus and the enemy of lotus as his eyes (the sun and the moon).
The one who dwells in the Gokarna Kshetra which is capable of removing sins. The one who is the vessel of compassion. The one who is the form of intelligence.

kshEtra - tirupati - gOkarNa (Dakshina):
This composition refers to both kshetras Tirupati and Pulivalam. Pulivalam near Tiruvarur is called Keezh tiruppati and is also called Dakshina Gokarnam.
